The 2022 Sandy Road Vineyards Estate Sangiovese is hand harvested from our family-owned estate at Sandy Road Vineyards from rows 45-66. It aged for 16 months in a mix of Hungarian and French oak barrels, with about 34% new oak contributing to its complex structure. This wine is crafted to emphasize a fruit-forward profile while maintaining the robust acidity necessary for aging and ensuring smooth tannins that round out the palate. It features rich flavors, including dark cherry and smoky notes, with undercurrents of spice, leather, and a subtle oak finish.
