Petit Verdot is a Bordeaux blending grape that rarely gets to star on its own, but the Texas High Plains provides the warm-season intensity it needs to fully ripen and show what it is truly capable of: deep color, serious structure, and a complexity that rewards patience in the glass. On the palate: Inky dark ruby, almost opaque. Full-bodied and structured with velvety tannins, dark fruit, and earthy depth. A wine that rewards 20 minutes in the decanter, paired with a great meal. Aroma: Blackcurrant, dark plum, violets, and a hint of graphite on the nose.
