Elisa Christopher Wines Blanc du Bois Ultra Brut 2024

Elisa Christopher Wines was the only American wine to win any award at the Global Sparkling Masters in London, UK. Described by Master of Wine Siobhan Turner as, "Bright and fresh on the nose, the aromas are very floral, with honeysuckle, pear blossom and a touch of grapey-ness showing its muscat heritage. Some toasty notes, bringing warmth and a touch of richness. The palate has a bright high acidity and some crunchy red apple notes." From Cristaldi & Co. This sparkling is made entirely from the Blanc du Bois grape, sourced from Mound Prairie Vineyards outside of College Station Texas. The Blanc du Bois was aged six months on lees and offers up fragrant honeysuckle and tropical fruit notes with a kind of bright vinous character, all balanced by a rich, frothy and creamy mousse, finishing with nice chalky minerality and baking spice.
