There are 5 acres planted of Picpoul Blanc that was planted in 2018. Harvest date August 24, 2025. "An invigoratingly pure aroma is certainly the reward of Picpoul as the grape variety in a sparkling wine. The wine’s whole cream and wilting floral aromas fold nicely into the bright lemon custard flavors on the palate. Crisply pressed, yet cotton-y soft folds of delicate vanilla bean and pastry lacquer are flecked with a pattern of honey blossom. The lightness of the wine is complimented by the lift and clarity of pure lemon juice acidity, bundled by the softness of a comforting homemade marshmallow cream note. Elegant, composed, and airy." - Tasted by Kelsey Kramer DipWSET June 2026.

Awards

🏆 Texas Best in Class - Texas Vintners Cup 2026

Details

Wine Type: White

Varietal: Picpoul Blanc

Brand: Elisa Christopher Wines

AVA: Texas High Plains

Vineyard Designation: Rowland Taylor Vineyards

Award Score: 5

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0632/7841/6126/files/2025-picpoul-bottle-shot-1782140839320.png?v=1790822405
https://toptexaswines.com/products/elisa-christopher-wines-ultra-brut-picpoul-blanc-texas-high-plains-rowland-taylor-vineyards-2025
